Access Policy for LH416

Lindley Hall 416 is the department's machine room. LH416 contains machines and data that are critical both to individuals and to the operation of the department.

Policy:

1. Access to LH416 is available only on the basis of demonstrated need.

2. Access permissions must be approved by the department chair following a recommendation from the facilities committee.

3. Before submission of any grant or project proposal that includes commitments for LH416 space, the proposal must be approved by the Director of Facilities, who will consult with facilities staff.

4. Before a purchase order is issued, the equipment must be cleared by facilities staff who will address constraints like physical size and rack capacity, power requirements, and placement in the room.
